Politico – People who have come forward to share their account of sexual harassment andassault, dubbed the “Silence Breakers,” have been named Time’s 2017 Person of the Year, Time Editor-in-Chief Edward Felsenthal announced Wednesday morning.

“The 2017 Person of the Year is the ‘Silence Breakers,’ the voices that launched a movement,” Felsenthal said on NBC’s “The Today Show.” “This is the fastest moving social change we’ve seen in decades and it began by individual acts of courage by hundreds of women, and some men too, who came forward to tell their own stories of sexual harassment and assault.”..
